As the patient was confused and was in the state of mental distress in the days preceding the incident it is not possible to explore that how much distress was practically created by that particular incident. But it is also a fact that this incident would have surely contributed towards further deterioration of physical and mental health of the patient. After having found the patient the family wasinformed about the incident but the parents were blaming the partner of patient to be responsible for the incident. Family was of the view that if he would not have slept the incident would not have happened. In other words family was not finding any sort of negligence on the part of hospital rather they were continuously blaming partner to be entirely responsible for the incident. In this respect a role of gender inequality cannot be ignore because the treatment that is given to females is somewhat different from that given to males.
Adopt a context sensitive approach
Adoption of a context specific approach is also very necessary because it will save time and will surely result in better outcomes. It has been identified by analysing that case study that management has adopted context specific approach to some extent as they have opted for root cause analysis (RCA)in time rather than wasting time on exploring the consequences and causes merely pertaining to that particular incident. SAC1 and SAC2 are also evidence of adoption of a context specific approach by the team. However there is a need to develop a more précised and efficient one so that it can reduce the time spent on investigation and can help in generating final outcomes at a faster speed (Puwar, 2001).
