Communication at the workplace is vital and hence the imperative is upon the management and the employees establish proficient communication skills. Where information is vague and low in quality and clarity the risk of misinterpretation is higher. Information overload may also result to confusion where the crucial points are missed. There is a manner and style of information delivery and communication of feedback. A good example is communication between the production workers and management. In a normal environment, information flows from the production team, and then it goes to the production manager who in turn communicates to the managing director. This type of communication is fondly referred to as vertical communication. It is the normal communication between organization members serving in different ranks. Communication at the same rank is known as horizontal communication. While information flows within the organization that communication is referred to as internal communication. Communication with external bodies and personalities is referred to as external communication. For an organization to remain coordinated and productive communication must be maintained in its highest quality and effectiveness (Geyt, Cauwenberge & Bauwhede, 2014).Most of the best performing business entities have valued and effective communication systems. The availability of information regarding a certain product or service produced by a business entity goes a long way in shaping the perception customers who have towards the product. The ability to comprehensively articulate product and service information attracts attention and most often influences the customers decision on buying a given product or service.
