Even the most progressive of cultures have not overcome the issues of handling maternity. The maternity seems to give an apprehensive perspective of the running of the companies. There is the issue or the dilemma that the women face as to pursuing a career or choosing to stay at home. The women choose to have long period of absence essentially removing them out of the game. When the women try to juggle between work and the house there is the oblivious line that is drawn between them. The presence of the male in the position of power eases or alleviates the fears of the investors. They try to formulate an activity that they reconcile with the everyday daily events.
In the current times some of the challenges that have been faced by the women are elucidated in the following.
Women continue to have apprehensions about using and forming connection. Inherent role of the women in the societies are engraved into the social medium that the women hesitate to use their connections to form their own networks. The decision making role is usually delegated to the men in the population. The women continue to implicitly support the dynamics. The men on the other hand understand the importance of forming social connections and ensure that they maintain these social connections to develop and sustain in the world. There is the iconic “boys club” phrases that are an accepted norm to increase and sustain in the business world. However this is not the case with the women there is no real “girls club” to promote and foster the development of entrepreneurship.
Women hesitate to be decisive. These roles are new to the women and they hesitate to make their decision known to the world (Bruni, Gherardi & Poggio, 2004). This apprehensiveness of the women in taking the role of leadership causes them to become overlooked in the business communities.
