Mediterranean food consumption is seeing a decline in their adherence by the people. There is an increase that is observed in the consumption of saturated lipids (Bach-Faig, et al 2275). The next factor is the increase in the use of processed sugar. There is also a decrease in the consumption of the complex carbohydrates. There is increase in the nutrition-related diseases and ailments. This is causing increasing in the mortality and the death of the people.
