One of the greatest assets to the student population is the international exposure at NYU as it renders an opportunity for a more multidimensional range and more varied viewpoints and opinions to be considered amongst the students. Considering the fact that I strive to surround myself with a diverse community of people who rather than choosing to passively learn by simply accumulating information are willing to engage in discussions and consider various view, thus would be highly important aspect of a leaning environment. Drawing and playing piano are a few of the skills which I believe sets me apart from the crowd and I believe that my artistic interest would be further developed at NYU. Being born and bought up in China, I could bring in a lot cultural and managerial inputs in various discussions at NYU.
Being the president of the Asian Club, another aspect which I could contribute to the diverse nature of NYU is that I am capable of bringing people from different cultures together and engage in discussions and formulating plans. I am of the view that people across the world should live together and must understand each other’s culture and must respect it. What motivates me to join this unified community is the collaboration among such an expansive range of individuals in an extremely different environment. I look forwards to contribute to this exceptional community and hope to have the opportunity to indulge my academic curiosity in the programs at NYU.
