Leaders are the people who lead with example. Thus, it becomes very important for the leader to prove his capabilities to the followers. It is very easy for a person to be the initiator, but in the long run, the person who survives is the true leader who believes in himself and his capabilities. I have always tried to make a difference in the lives of people around me in all possible ways.I have always been a persistent and diligent student at my school. I have been successful in attaining proficiency in the English Language which is certified by my TOEFL tests. I have always been fascinated with numbers and hence my parents have always helped me in developing critical thinking and have always encouraged me to read more about the current concepts and to understand the financial concepts used. While I was pursuing my graduation in Shanghai, I involved myself extensively in the extracurricular activities at the college. This helped me in sharpening my management capabilities. I was also a chief debater in the department’s debate team. All these activities gave me a sense of accomplishment as I managed my time between the academics and extracurricular activities and I exceled at both.
I am interested in a profession which is challenging and demands commitment. In order to strengthen my foundation, I have also gained two years’ experience in a job which required me to manage the finances of the company. Since it was a small company, I was able to devote a great deal of time in understanding the concepts and applying the same in real life problems. This helped me in sharpening my financial concepts even better. During my graduation time in Shanghai, I have been the student representative for the financial activities and events in the college and I was always a part of the team which represented the college during inter-college finance seminars and competitions. I know that I can become a good leader only when I have the conviction. The conviction to lead and the confidence to be the leader can be achieved by me if I constantly work towards my goal. I should set an example before everybody else to make them trust me. I should never mislead the trust of people and this attribute is the most important attribute of being a good leader.
