更大的网络使用模式表示夜间使用互联网,社交媒体一直是娱乐、学习或讨论的来源。作为媒体消费者,更大的模式显示出对更广泛使用数据的上瘾和兴趣。与受众相关的定义和思想的变化影响着数据的使用方法、理解和选择,从而达到当天的目的。例如,当我是数据的消费者时,数据会以不同的形式被感知。然而,如果我是制作人,我会以更专业的方式来看待它,并与类似的网站进行比较。我所扮演的角色影响对数据使用的感知和决策。正如课程材料中提到的,作为一名研究人员,使用模式揭示了对特定平台的上瘾,以及在相关资源的帮助下创建的舒适区。

The larger patterns of web use denote the usage of internet in the night and social media has always been the source of entertainment or study or discussion. As a media consumer, the larger patterns show the addiction and interest to make wider use of data. The changing definitions and ideas relating to audience influence the usage method, understanding and choices of data to achieve the purpose for that day. For instance, the data is perceived in a different form when I am the consumer of it. However, if I am the producer, I would view it in even technical manner and compare with similar sites. The role that I play influence the perception and the decision towards data usage. As mentioned in the course material, as a researcher, the usage patterns reveal addiction to specific platforms and the comfort zone created with the help of relevant sources.
They have shown the presence of mild depression that led me to listen to songs, watch short films and purchase products on the web (Careaga, 2012). The data analysis conveys the importance of daily activities in the usage patterns of internet and the mild depression that I develop also affect the usage patterns. On a daily basis, it seems that I give greater preference to the class works after which I chat on social media or listen to songs to maintain the mood. However, if the mood is down, I do not use internet for educational purpose. Instead, it is used to relax my mind and to give a soothing effect. The regular usage patterns give strong impressions that I have used it productively for course purposes. Apart from that, I have only displayed regular usage of Facebook to connect with people and also maintain my moods. The data collected had strong impacts in my usage and decisions as a consumer.
