Also an important consideration that is the flaw of existing social networks which is seen to be remedied in the case of blogging is that social networks expand across to include people that we have also not met. However in this expansion, an individual will not be able to represent themselves as they wish to do. In this context the blogosphere holds significance as it represents the individual better. In fact it so happens that newer social networks are in fact created from the blogosphere. A more interactive community is developed.
Chinag et al (2013) second motivation or what they call an antecedent are is goal orientation. Goal orientation type of interaction is sought by people, when they are looking for newer information or when they need answers to their questions or they when users want to specifically read up on something. Here this form of goal orientation demands is met only in the blogosphere. These demands can also be as simple as the need to rant about everyday happenings as a form of release. When these fixed demands are met in the blogosphere, the user meets their goal in reaching out. Hence blogging is also seen to be motivated by utilitarian reasons (Nadkarni & Gupta, 2007). In fact blogging for social networking and utilitarian benefits has risen in specialized sectors such as for marketers, medical professions, Information technology employees and more. The third motivators or antecedent is the entertainment orientation (Chiang et al, 2013). In Entertainment orientation the bloggers goal for blogging is mainly for the entertainment of doing it. Entertainment is for both the blogger and the person who reads the blog (Nadkarni & Gupta, 2007). In entertainment the users can blog about their hobbies, their feelings, some interesting happening in their life and more. More popular and current happenings reach a wider expanse of society because of blogging.
