It has been identified through the review of literature that while various studies have been conducted on the mediation within the reality TV shows and temporality, aesthetics and realism, the focus on reflection of reality was not explored with the combination of three texts (Couldry et al., 2016). The previous researches were found to be conducted across the documents of media text (Bennett and Booth, 2016). However, it is critical to consider that three media texts of documentary, news report and reality TV show were not conducted previously due to which a gap exists to be addressed (Ji and Raney, 2016). Therefore, this research will entail the three media texts and provide with the evidence of the extent to which they do not represent reality.
This research paper is distributed in different sections. The research methodology will be presented in the first section of this research paper. This will be followed by the results section and discussion. The final section of this research paper will conclude the findings of the research and address the research aims and objectives.
The qualitative research method has been selected for this research paper as it has been identified to be the most effective research method that can allow primary data collection from the participants. The research method of web survey based questionnaire interview will be utilized for the purpose of collecting data (Liamputtong, 2013). The participants will be recruited on the basis of their involvement within the media texts. Therefore, the members of media organizations will be taken into consideration to gain the insight about the manner in which the representation of reality is affected by the media texts (Smith, 2012). Total number of 10 participants will be involved in this research paper to collect the primary data directly from media organizations to address the research objectives of this paper.
