In the recent past, the government of China has tried to prevent straw burning. It has been identified by the government of China as a greatest threat to humanity. Thereby, the government is taking steps to prevent straw burning. One of the major efforts taken by the government is to put a complete ban on straw burning. But this has not proven to be much effective. The government is trying to have a check on PM levels. Also the government has ensured that during the time, when there is lot of straw burning, the people from nearby areas shouldn’t move out of their homes (Sun et al., 2016). After 2000, the government of China has created a large number of regulations and has put forward various methods for the control of straw burning. An example can be observed in Jiang Su province, the local environment has been regularly sending the teams to Jiang Su province for the purpose of supervision on the straw fires.

In addition to this, in order to curb this problem the government has tried to use the remote sensing systems to detect the locations in straw fields which straw firing is carried out. In spite of the ban on straw farming done by the government, there hasn’t been any desired result. The primary reason given by the farmers is that straw is completely useless and if it is left on the field and it also hamper the growth of the crops in next season. The processes of recycling at present are very costly. Thereby, it is a completely money losing business.In order minimize the straw fires, the government need to take a sustainable advancement. Putting a ban on straw firing is not the only solution rather the government should assure that there is a proper treatment of the straw. The government should use any methods related to recycling. This can be done on the basis of the different characteristics related to straw.
